My journey with art began in my teenage years when I discovered dance. Movement provided me with a means of expression that suited me perfectly. For eighteen years I taught, choreographed, and performed. While my livelihood entailed teaching English and history to middle schoolers, dance kept me grounded and centered. Decades later, after retiring from teaching, I took up painting. In learning this new art form, I began to experience a similar effect that dance had on me in my early years. Last year I discovered Acrylic Pouring, which is a way of moving fluid paint on canvas with surprising results. I soon began to recognize my affinity for flowing movement, this time with paint, instead of dance. This style of art has brought me so much joy and sense of wholeness. I hope you find something in my work to make you smile.
